Our Approach

We strive to bring warmth, compassion, humor, truthful communication and collaboration to our work with clients. This approach offers a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings creatively and work toward solutions, and resolutions, at your own pace. As warm, passionate and astute clinicians, we use creative interventions to support and encourage real change. We use metaphor, story, play, and improvisation to go beyond just talking, to help people access new parts of themselves to take action in their life.

Our approach to therapy is relational. Therapy is a co-created and active process; we bring ourselves fully to sessions, encouraging our clients to do the same, in order for them to explore risks, take comfort, and find their own voice. We approach treatment from a person-centered standpoint, matching interventions and approaches to the needs and goals of each client, such as: psychodynamic, humanistic, arts-based approaches, trauma-informed practice, and cognitive behavioral approaches.

Drama Therapy

Drama therapy is the intentional use of dramatic arts and/or theater processes to achieve therapeutic goals. Drama therapy is active and experiential. This approach can provide the context for participants to tell their stories, set goals and solve problems, express feelings, or achieve catharsis. Through drama, the depth and breadth of inner experience can be actively explored and interpersonal relationship skills can be enhanced. Participants can expand their repertoire of dramatic roles to find that their own life roles have been strengthened.
