About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Grumley (she/her) is a master’s candidate in the Drama Therapy program at New York University, projected to graduate May 2024. Prior to entering NYU, Elizabeth worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant/Licensed (COTA/L) in pediatrics, with adults living in the community with severe mental illness and has become a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) while working with older individuals. Elizabeth has experience working with many different people across the lifespan, specializing in anxiety, social anxiety, dementia, depression, and self-esteem.

In her work as a student and clinician, Elizabeth uses a person-centered, creative, and gentle approach. She is curious by nature and uses her curiosity to explore your story alongside you, to help co-create the life you envision. Elizabeth often uses the creative arts of drama, art, music, writing, and movement to support and enhance the psychotherapeutic process. She believes that everyone has the ability to thrive and would like to support you in your journey of self-discovery and expansion. Elizabeth also holds a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College in yet another art form: Television! She is always open for new show recommendations and is ever excited to use the stories you love in the work.
