Mark Beauregard

RDT-BCT, LCAT, EMDR (he/him)

Let’s build a bridge to your next destination! Whether you’re facing turbulent waters or seeking steadier ground, I will help you create meaningful changes you need in working toward the next chapter of your journey.

I founded Beauregard Creative Arts Therapy PLLC to offer a space where healing is co-created—relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in the expressive power of the arts. A space that honors both the art and science of healing.

I bring over 20 years of expertise helping children, teens, and adults navigate life’s complexities with care, curiosity, and humor. My approach is active and eclectic. I partner with you to design treatment that meets your needs and goals, drawing from psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral frameworks, as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Therapeutic Improv, and Creative Arts Therapy. In sessions, I might invite a metaphor, a role, or a moment of movement—not to perform, but to experiment. To play. To try on a new way of being.

Clients often come to therapy exploring identity, navigating relationships or life transitions, or seeking deeper understanding of themselves. I specialize in identity-affirming care, with particular focus on supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals. I support those healing from developmental, complex, and relational trauma—including survivors of abuse, neglect, and systemic oppression. I also work with anxiety, stress, depression, school and work-related stressors, neurodivergent experience, and family or relational challenges. Together, we explore shifting relational patterns, setting boundaries, processing grief, and rebuilding self-trust. Therapy becomes a space to reconnect with meaning, motivation, and agency. I’m committed to helping clients move from feeling stuck to feeling empowered, confident, and creative.

I’ve published and presented extensively on supporting LGBTQIA+ and gender-expansive individuals and their families—often leading trainings that help therapists develop inclusive, culturally responsive care. I also provide supervision, consultation, and training for fellow clinicians, and serve as adjunct faculty at NYU’s Drama Therapy program, where I teach and mentor emerging therapists.

Learning never stops for me. I believe that continuing to grow—as a therapist and a person—is essential. I actively engage in ongoing education and professional development, and am currently pursuing certification in Attachment-Focused EMDR.

Outside the therapy room, I’m a dog person, nature lover, and helper at heart. I find joy in singing, gardening, and spending time with people who love to laugh. Musical theatre and improv have long been creative homes for me, and I’m often recharged by a good playlist or a quiet walk among the trees. I know the power of creative practice to center and sustain—and I bring that same spirit into the therapy space.
