Caroline Burke
LCAT (she/her)
With a background in theater and acting, I firmly believe in the power of drama and art to facilitate therapeutic change. I take a holistic approach to psychotherapy, working with each client to identify goals and challenges, and offer creative arts interventions in addition to more traditional forms of talk therapy. I value the power of play, embodiment, the use of projectives, witnessing, and spontaneity to support clients in stretching and growing.
I bring a diverse range of clinical experience, having worked in inpatient psychiatry, schools, outpatient settings, and specialized eating disorder treatment programs. I have supported teens, adults, couples, families, and facilitated group therapy. I am skilled in helping people navigate challenges related to depression, anxiety, OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), eating disorders, trauma, bipolar disorder, psychosis, substance use, and neurodivergent experience.
I am passionate about helping people repair their relationships to their bodies, processing trauma and grief, exploring intersectional identities, and navigating the twists and turns of life. I operate from a trauma-informed, body liberation, LGBTQIA+ affirming, social justice oriented perspective.
When not in the role of Therapist, catch me watching The Lord of the Rings: Extended Edition and asking to pet your dog.
